Paula Radcliffe
Paula Radcliffe was born in Northwich, Cheshire, in 1973, but grew up in Bedford. She joined Bedford and County Athletics Club at the age of 11 and competed at the World Cross Country Championships at 16.After graduating from Loughborough University with a first-class degree in modern languages in 1996, she devoted herself full-time to her running and is now acknowledged as one of the finest athletes of the modern era. As well as her achievements on the track, Paula has established herself as the master of the ultimate distance race, the marathon. She holds the world record and won the London Marathon in 2002, 2003 and 2005. In November 2004 she won the New York Marathon in breath-taking style and in 2005 she took the gold medal at the World Championships in Helsinki for the same distance. She was awarded an MBE in June 2002 and later that year was voted the BBC’s Sports Personality of the Year.

Jenny Simpson
Jenny attended Oviedo High School in Oviedo, Florida where she was an 8-time State Champion and set 4 state records. She attended the University of Colorado, Boulder where she set NCAA records in the mile, 3000m steeplechase and 5000m (outdoors). During her time at the University of Colorado, she qualified for the 2008 US Olympic Team in the Steeplechase. Jenny has represented the United States in three Olympic Games, 2008 (steeplechase), 2012 (1500m) and 2016 (1500m). She earned a bronze medal at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, becoming the first American woman to medal in the 1500m. Jenny is also an 11-time USA track and field champion a 3-time World Championship medalist in the 1500m. Jenny lives in Boulder, Colorado with her husband Jason and runs for New Balance.

Rebekah Mayer
Rebekah combines over 25 years of running experience and an education in the sport to support her role as the National Run Training Manager for Life Time. As a mom of 3, she also knows first-hand the joys and challenges of balancing family, career and training while she tries to improve her 2:59 marathon PR. Rebekah was a member of the 2003 NCAA-II XC Championship team at Adams State College, and is a 6-time All-American. She currently holds multiple coaching certifications, including USATF Level 2 Endurance, RRCA and Precision Nutrition.
Carrie goes for a run with former Team USA MN athlete and Edina High School cross country coach Matt Gabrielson! Matt chats about coaching, raising three kids, and his plans to compete as a masters.

Matt Gabrielson
Matt is an Iowa native and graduated from Drake University in 2000. He later completed graduate school at Augustana University. Matt ran for Team USA MN from 2001 - 2013. He was ranked top 10 in the US in the 5000m in 2008 and ranked top 10 in the marathon in 2008 and 2011. Matt teaches 3rd and 4th grade at Highlands Elementary School in Edina, Minnesota and is the Girls Cross Country Coach at Edina High School. His team was back to back state champions in 2015 and 2016. He was awarded the title MN Coaches Girls HS XC Coach of the Year in 2015. Matt is married to Julie Gabrielson (née Shwengler) and they have three children, Doris Mae, Otto and Viola.
